This badge was earned by the North-YUM-berland team who designed a solution to improve access to local fresh food in Cobourg, Port Hope and Hamilton Township. The team built an ArcGIS prototype tool to analyze 2016 census tabular data and then joined that data to a GIS map creating a heat map for Northumberland County. The web map allows policymakers to look at populations and areas where there are barriers to accessing fresh food.
